Point of View: Libby, Polygamist Judge, Bush

This is a step away from my normal posts, but I still want to comment on some current U.S. topics.

Lewis Libby
After leaking the name of a CIA Agent to the press in 2003, Dick Cheney's top aide pleads not guilty in court... Ok, the fact that he's in court for perjury should tell us something, no? Strap the cuffs on and send him to prison for the maximum term (30 yrs).

WASHINGTON - Armed with fresh legal firepower, Lewis Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s former top aide, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges stemming
from the CIA leak probe — raising the specter of a trial in which Cheney and other top Bush administration officials could be summoned to testify. Libby entered the plea in front of U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton, a former prosecutor who has spent two decades as a judge in the nation’s capital.

Judge Walter Steed - Polygamist in Utah
I'm not sure where to start on this one, but suffice it to say, Judge Steed should be in prison - not in the courtroom. Last time I checked, polygamy was illegal in ALL states, including Utah. Fortunately for Steed, Utah doesn't really seek or prosecute polygamists unless they've done something pretty bad; it's quite unfortunate. How can Utah allow a "criminal" to make judgements on others who are going through trial?

"PROVO, Utah - A small-town judge who has three wives should not be removed from the bench because his private behavior has not tarnished the office he holds, the judge’s attorney told the Utah Supreme Court on Wednesday. Judge Walter Steed was found to be a polygamist by the state’s Judicial Conduct Commission, and the panel issued an order seeking his removal from the bench in February."

The question should'nt be whether Judge Steed should be allowed to keep his seat; they should send his ass to prison for practicing polygamy. Strip him of his authority and send him packing.

George Bush
Has there ever been a presidency with so much corruption and deceit? Yes Bill Clinton got oral sex in the oval office, but Bush might as well have an orgy in there. The entire administration is full of lying and deceitful staff. I've heard stories of people inviting all their friends (Cronyism) to work for them, but I've never heard that a business succeeded w/ that setup. I can't wait until this idiot and all of his staff are gone.
