NASCAR Weekend - Las Vegas 2007

I was lucky enough to go to Las Vegas this past weekend to attend the NASCAR festivities. On Thursday, I didn't get there until about 11pm, but it was still fun to drive up there late at night. My fiance flew up on Friday night, but she missed all of the aircraft practicing their tricks and takeoffs Friday afternoon from Nellis AFB.

The race on Saturday was pretty cool... we were kind of above turn 4, so we saw the majority of the wrecks and the pussy wreck on the last lap. Why pussy?? Kyle Busch turned into Jeff Burton about 100 feet from the finish line. Instead of Burton crashing, it was Busch who went into a spin and crossed the line backwards & in 2nd place.

Sunday was fun too, but we had to leave about 80 laps into the race so we could make it back to PHX in time to pick up our son ;). We still didn't make it home until 9pm, so we probably should've left a few minutes earlier (ok, maybe a couple hours earlier).

Overall, it was a great weekend... very hot!
